The NBA playoff game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets was one of the most watched sporting events of the night. The win-or-go-home game was an instant classic. Patrick Mahomes was one of the millions of fans watching from home.

As he saw Jamal Murray knock LeBron James and the Lakers out, he had to give out a reaction. Once the thrilling game was over, Partick Mahomes tweeted a 5-word reaction from his official X (formerly Twitter) account.

Great game! Big time shot! Patrick Mahomes wrote

In those 5 words, the superstar quarterback gave the gist of the game. A great game, where both teams played brilliantly to keep things close until the last second. Then the game winner with 6 seconds to go finalized the score.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback acknowledged that both the Lakers and Denver Nuggets battled each other well for the entire night. In a rare instance in the 1st round of the playoffs, both teams looked to be on equal terms. Just that Jamal Murray’s game-winner knocked LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers out.

The Denver Nuggets move on to the 2nd round of the playoffs to face the hot streaking Minnesota Timberwolves. A series that the 3-time Super Bowl winner will not miss considering the potential big battles that will be on display.

Patrick Mahomes is excited with the latest additions to his Chiefs

If there is anyone more hyped in recent days, it was Patrick Mahomes. The superstar quarterback was all over social media as the 2024 NFL Draft took place. First, it was when the Kansas City Chiefs drafted new 40-yard dash record holder Xavier Worthy in the 1st round. Getting their hands on the fastest receiver to date was a major coup.

Mahomes also shared his excitement when his team selected OT Kingsley Suamataia in the 2nd round. An important pick considering the Chiefs would like to have long-term solutions for their tackles. Add to all this, his response when Travis Kelce, his most important running mate in all of this, just signed a 2-year extension.

It seems, the 3-time Super Bowl MVP is excited with what lies ahead for him and his team. A three-peat is naturally the first thought. But it also suggests that Mahomes has a wide-open window for attempts at a lot more Super Bowls.
